Sergei Parfenov
For the past ten years, I’ve been designing and developing software systems. I work on architecture, backend engineering and the integration of machine learning models. I take solutions from early prototypes through launch and ongoing operation in production.
I’ve worked at Yandex, TripleTen and Nebius. I built AI tools for search, knowledge assessment and tutoring. Education became a major part of my engineering work along the way.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Saint Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics. In 2024, I studied deep learning for computer vision through Stanford University’s CS231n course. I’m still learning through my own experiments, which I write about on the blog.
I’m currently CTO at Aliwio, where I build software for veterinary clinics, and a technical consultant at Symptomato.
